Corinthians First 13 – TRUE LOVE

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Greetings in the Glorious Name of JESUS. He is Alive and Well and Actively Pursuing His own Great Commission—through His committed people. It is an incredible privilege and joy to be a part of His Great Commission Army, reaching out to “all ethnic groups” (all nations) to “make disciples, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to obey all things He commanded us”, and then to experience the fulfilment of His Promise, “and lo, I am with you all the days, even unto the end of the age.”

I have just returned from the beautiful territory of Greenville, South Carolina, where I spent most of six days with Pastor Ben Hill (and his lovely wife Debbie) in the splendid fellowship of Standing Springs Baptist Church of Simpsonville. It was a great time of reunion for me and the Hill pastoral team. I have enjoyed fellowship with them and have worked in the “yoke” of Christian service numerous times in the past, and last week renewed our acquaintance and the mutual ministries and service we have shared. The corporate fellowship and atmosphere of the church were overwhelmingly full of the Holy Spirit, and the services were especially anointed of the Holy Spirit. The quality of attentiveness and listening was acute, and the work of the Holy Spirit was almost palpable among us, and especially in my heart. I had a really great time preaching and ministering under the Direct Guidance of the Holy Spirit and under His Smile all week long. This is a kind of “Heaven on earth” when that occurs. It is extremely satisfying and gratifying.

I had a remarkably free and productive time preaching on: Walking With God (Genesis 5:21-24); Turning a Pot of Oil into an Oil Well (II Kings 4:1-7); A Withered Hand—or Heart—Made Whole (Mark 3:1-8); Christianity Condensed (Philippians 1:21); and Out of the Mire Into the Choir (Psalm 40:1-3). Many great personal responses were made to the messages, both in the church building and outside of it. Also, correspondence has already begun by internet, with a few of the people ordering books by a “church order” or thru our website on the internet. I only took a few of the many books I have in print to the meeting, and they were all sold out at first mention.

Friends, the fellowship of believers on earth should be a harbinger and foretaste of the fellowship of believers in Heaven (do yourself a great favor and read Hebrews 12:18-19, 22-29). Well, we received a “foretaste” like week, and sure enough, it has given an insatiable “taste for” more! I was thrilled to be at The Well pumping and pouring out the Water of Life, so I got well-saturated with it myself. Or, if you please, I was breaking and passing the Bread of Life, and had a feast on the Gourmet Bread of Heaven! “Bread of Heaven, feed me ‘til I want no more!”

Meanwhile, back down to the inanities and insanities of Planet Earth (: <)). This month’s message is a simple reciting of the Love Song of I Corinthians 13. The story of the Love of God, “the TRUE LOVE of the Universe”, always quickens my heart to catch and match HIS PULSEBEAT, and I pray it will do the same for you.

Be Blessed!

Revelation 14 06

Dear Friends

Greetings in the Grand Name of Jesus.  Indeed, in the Name of God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  I pray that you are well and happy in the Lord, and seeing the “much fruit” level of an abiding walk in/with Christ.

Recent years have slowly refined and redefined the word “busy” for me.  Earlier, and for many years, “busy” meant to be on-the-go, on-the-move, always mobilizing a heavy schedule, or “scheduling a heavy mobilization.”  Now, “busy” means more of a stay-at-home and be-ready lifestyle, or a short-trip mobility with heavy daily assignments in scheduled conferences or in short-stay stops along the route.  The “busy” at home means always prayerful, always studious, always prepping, always writing (and typing), always answering correspondence, always responding to requests from many pastors and leaders over the world,  and regularly teaching groups of men who come to my home for teaching sessions on Gospel Truth, Biblical texts (both long and short), with technical devotional details in every study, etc., etc.  Someone defined the typical Western-world rat-race as “hurry, scurry, flurry, worry, and BURY” (:< ))   <><     I think the key is to be sure that you are always “running with endurance THE RACE THAT IS SET BEFORE YOU” (Hebrews 12:1). The Christian life must be recognized to be an ACTIVE, AGGRESSIVE life, always facing the FINISH LINE, and following ONE INSPIRATION POINT (PERSON), “looking unto Jesus (actually the word “looking” is aphorao, which is “looking away from everything else unto Jesus), the Architect and Perfector of our faith”.  The gratifying result is to watch the many “equipped” men who are streaming out to the ends of the earth to make Jesus and His Strategy of Total World Impact “HAPPEN” everywhere they go.  After an early morning meeting in my home (5—6:45 a.m.) this morning, one of the disciple/disciplers, who is indeed impacting the world from distant “beachheads” in far countries, told me of yet another long trip coming soon to initiate a local burgeoning disciple-making movement on national soil there.  My heart rises in praise each time to think of this Army of men who are going, going, going, and always doing the same thing on the far-away turf when they arrive.

This month’s message “The Everlasting Gospel” is from Revelation 14:6.

May God continue to give each of you the desire of your heart as you CONTINUE TO DELIGHT IN HIM (Psalm 37:4).
